Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. I’d like to welcome you to, my FoodieFunFitness blog!
My name is Stephanie and the blog title definitely describes me in three words. I am thrilled to be able to share my obsession with food, share the things I enjoy, and my fitness journey with you. I am also a cat lover and have a very precious little fur baby named Art. He’s sure to pop up in random posts.
I am passionate about what I cook and eat, and I love to it share with friends and family. I am also passionate about being healthy and will share with you all my findings and experiences with recipes and exercise. I work hard and love trying new things. Experimentation is the spice of life, so bring it on!
I adore cooking and cook approximately 90% of the meals in my house. My partner B is an amazing cook as well and he and I are dangerous in the kitchen. I love spices, and often pick up something new that I’ve never used before, come home, research it and make something with it. I’ll never learn about new ingredients, spices or techniques if I don’t do random things like that. It’s just too easy to get into the habit of incorporating your ‘usual’ stuff into recipes, right?
Professionally I am an Instructional Designer for a large company. I love what I do and find it very challenging and interesting. I do a lot of writing at work and have written a lot of documents and work content so blogging was a natural transition for me. Being the social butterfly that I am, I have a love for people in general and making them smile so I am stoked about being able to share my personal journey with you, all by way of social media. I am an avid gardener as well and will be blogging about all the stuff I plant and recipes I create with it. So FUN!
As for the fitness part of my life, I have had a long time love affair with indoor cycling. I started spinning about 5-6 years ago at the gym in my office. I had never really been exposed to it before and thought I’d give it a go. The instructor was a fellow peer in the office and I had no idea he was such a fitness guy. The first class I went to, I almost passed out. I quickly found out that spinning classes were the ONE and only class where I could truly push myself to and beyond my limit (let’s be honest, it was the only class I felt inspired to :). After years of being a participant, I decided to become a Schwinn Certified Instructor. Oh how I had found a TRUE passion in life! I love every aspect of creating a class and leading it. Spinning isn’t so much about teaching people (most people know HOW to ride a bike), it’s more about the experience they have on the bike and communicating with them throughout a workout to unleash a cardio workout they never imagined they could experience. It’s a thrilling experience for me and I hope it’s the same for my participants (many have said it is!). From time to time I’ll post playlists that I think you may enjoy. If you have any requests, please let me know!
I welcome all comments and feedback so please, drop me a line! Thanks again for stopping by 🙂
